Football

Keep Going

"I Couldn't have picked a more competitive male dominated sport to be so close to my heart, and part of my daily life. One thing I learned through all of this is you get knocked down but it's the getting back up that separates you as an athlete from the rest"

For Becca Football has been engrained into her life from a very young age, with a father who played professionally as a goalkeeper it was always part of where Becca was going to go with sports. Now Yes she's a Woman and yes she can be a "girly girl" with long nails and make-up but that doesn't stop her from pursuing the thing that she loves and holds so close to her heart. She can really hold her own with these men and women.   Her football Career took off during her late 20's and early 30's heading into playing for several clubs as a goalkeeper playing in 100's of local games and saving tonnes of goals. But all of this doesn't come with the hard work you put in. Hours and hours at the gym, dedication to personal care and strengthening but even still there's only so much you can do to avoid the dangers of the game.   with multiple torn muscles, herniated ligaments, broken fingers and a damaged ACL Becca keeps going (for now) In 2025 Becca signed on to several Celebrity football teams to play recreationally at charity football games to raise much needed funds and awareness to the amazing work the third sector does both in the UK and overseas, on a daily basis. To date Becca has been honoured to play with some amazing celebrities some of which have gone on to be close friends. The celebs games are a great way for Becca to elevate her self worth away from the more competitive side of the game and she finds often being the only female on the team to be a breath of fresh air with so many fans and supporters coming to see them play she finds her team mates incredibly supportive of her boldness to jump in goal and play against some very strong competitive players. She often joins in the locker room banter and in her own chameleon way becomes "one of the lads" Becca is currently on the official squad for Stars United FC, David Rudman Charity Team & she's recently made her debut appearance in her first game with Sellebrity UK where she played a rare occasion not in goal but still showed the men how this girl can play nicely with the boys. Her last game in late August 2025 she played on the very highly staked Inter Legends with some very professional full-time and ex professional footballers.
